Philosophy
As a non-profit located in Whatcom County, we are aware of the unique community outlook and local spirit that drives the Bellingham economy. We take pride in being a part of a community whose ideals are put into action everyday. Cascade Vocational Services strives to help Bellingham and Whatcom County achieve its goal of maintaining a healthy, robust economy without sacrificing the community minded atmosphere that has evolved here.
We achieve this through two fundamental CVS goals
• To increase the participation of people with disabilities in the workforce, and
• To increase the participation of people with disabilities in their community.
Each person CVS serves offers a unique and valuable skill set for local employers. We see ourselves as a resource to help organizations access and tap into these skills and abilities. While our primary objective is to help individuals with disabilities find and maintain long-term employment, we take pride in offering training, education and resources to local businesses, area non-profits and our community partners.
