D'Anna's Café Italiano

In 2003 the owner of D’Anna’s Café Italiano hired CVS participant Jamey as a host and busser. Jamey was hired for the busy lunch shifts on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Hiring for this position allowed the owner to be assured that every customer would be greeted promptly; served water and that tables would be cleared quickly. The servers are also able to spend more time with customers and less time clearing and re-setting the tables.

Jamey has learned many tasks since starting at D’Anna’s including food prep and most recently wine service. With help from his job coach at Cascade, Jamey received his liquor license. This allows Jamey to open and prepare the wine for the evening shift and serve beer and wine to customers.
