Fall 2010- WTA announced as Employer of the Quarter!


CVS recognizes the Whatcom Transportation Authority for going above and beyond in expanding employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Whatcom County. Through a custodial contract WTA is able to provide 13 jobs for individuals with disabilities in Whatcom County. Program Director, Kristin Nguyen, says that "in any business partnership their must be trust and respect. With WTA- our crew gets both." CVS crew members agree, as exhibited by the longevity of many crew members, some of which have been on the crew for over 10 years! Spring 2010- Bellingham Denny's announced as Employer of the Quarter!


Bellingham Denny's is recognized as CVS' Employer of the Quarter for it's committment to expanding employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Whatcom County. Over two years ago, Brent was hired to assist in breaking down cardboard, cleaning wet floor signs and high chairs. Brent says he loves his job and feels his manager respects him. Denny's management went above and beyond to find tasks that were both crucial to doing business as well as match with Brent's strengths and skills. Congratulations Denny's! Winter 2010- Cascade DAFO announced as Employer of the Quarter!

CVS recognizes Cascade DAFO for going above and beyond in expanding employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Whatcom County. Cascade DAFO has hired several CVS participants and most recently, Charity. Charity works in production support and loves going to work every day.
